Kolej Poly-Tech MARA, (KPTM) formerly known as Kolej Yayasan Pelajaran MARA is a higher education institution of learning wholly-owned by Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Sdn. Bhd. KPTM is currently located in 7 campuses nationwide and offering altogether up to 22 competitive courses.
Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Ipoh formerly known as Akademi Infotech MARA Ipoh is one of the campuses situated in the bustling town of Ipoh, Perak. It was established in 1996 with the vision to provide and offer knowledge, skills and technical know-how to the Bumiputeras primarily in the field of Multimedia. Students from all over the nation are currently pursuing their studies here and majority of them graduated with excellent results and have embarked on their aspired career path.
There have been a steady increase of students’ enrollment to KPTM Ipoh each year and currently there are 682 students. In line with the students’ overwhelming intake we have upgraded our infrastructure, such as wifi access within the campus and hostel, the latest edition reference texts in the library, state of the art computer lab, examination hall, cooperative centre, comfortable hostel and many more. Students’ management system has also been upgraded to ensure well managed information dissemination.
It is a fact that the working industry nowadays is revolving on information technology especially in the field of Multimedia. The core elements of it can be classified into graphics, animation, website, game-development, multimedia system and many more. KPTM Ipoh is well equipped in providing the much needed knowledge for the program.
Upon graduation, I am confident that the graduates will be able to adapt well in the industry or may pursue their studies to a higher level. The learning of Multimedia program will eventually set you to a brighter future in our country’s information technology development. In order to cultivate such students, we need hard work and cooperation from the lecturers, students and our supporting staff as well.
Ultimately, I personally advise students to take the opportunity of the challenges and excell your best.
